Caroline has been interested in art as long as she can remember, and started painting as a child. During her almost three decades as a practicing lawyer, she also worked at exercising her artistic bent. She is now thrilled to finally be a full time artist. She has studied under regionally renowned talents including Wanda Sullivan (Spring Hill College), Randy Moberg, Karen Stastny, Kathy Whitinger, Missy Patrick, and Ainsley McNeely, among others.
Caroline’s works, primarily oils, reflect a love of color and mark making. Yasharel Manzy’s landscapes and Cynthia Packard’s figures influenced her earlier paintings. Currently, she is exploring her interest in mark and line work in the context of both black and white and color pieces. Her paintings are held in private collections in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Texas.
Caroline was born in Jackson, Mississippi and grew up in South Louisiana. She received her B.A. from Southern Methodist University in 1983 and her law degree from the University of Alabama in 1986. She lives in Mobile, Alabama, with her husband Brian and their two dogs. They have three grown children.
